STOrytelling Racism to Empower Youth (STOREY) Intervention
Funded by the Mental Research Institute and the Boston College Research Across Departments and Schools grants, we are developing the STOREY (STOrying Racism to Empower Youth) intervention as an educational tool to promote Asian American and Latinx college students’ ethnic/racial identity, anti-racism interests, and advocacy against anti-Black racism. We employ an innovative fusion of the persuasive power of digital storytelling exposure (compared to information-based approach) with a group-based critical dialogue that harnesses the effectiveness of group dynamics and norms in modifying people’s behaviors and attitudes compared to individual-level interventions.
